INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION EXCHANGE PROGRAMS
In recent years I have had the opportunity to participate in both a China and Taiwan educator exchange program. My school district(s) have hosted visiting educators from Taiwan, China, South Korea, Germany, and Spain. We have written partnerships with the China Ministry of Education, GAPP (German American Partnership Program), FLAG (Foreign Links Around the Globe) to name a few and I participated annually in the Global Forum on Education. Some of the schools we have hosted include; Anshan China's Angang Middle School & High School, and the White Dove Elementary. We have also hosted educators from New Taipei City Taiwan. Most recently my school district both visited and served as host(s) to Neihu Senior High School in Taipei City, Taiwan. The collegiality and opportunity for international partnerships is a wonderful experience for our students and staff. However, the greater benefit is the opportunity our students have to showcase what they are doing and interact with students and educators from the other side of the world.
